About FBSI

For over 140 years, First Baptist Church South Inglewood [FBSI] has been a bedrock of worship in the heart of East Nashville, Tennessee.  Formerly known as First Baptist Church Rock City, the church began in the kitchen of founder, Reverend A.W. Wilson with eleven other committed believers.  Their vision was to provide a spirit-filled place of worship, dedicated to the tenets of the Baptist faith and focused on meeting the needs of the community.

Today, FBSI remains true to the original vision of their founders.  The church continues to be a fellowship of believers, dedicated to worshiping God and serving His people.  Through the years, the church has experienced explosive growth in membership resulting in several renovations, and most recently, the erection of a new edifice featuring a new sanctuary and fellowship hall.
